SY-FR240
Flame-Resistant Workwear Fabric
EN ISO 11612. Charred, not melted.
Inherent-FR cotton-rich sateen for welding, refinery and electrical work: 240 g/m², passes EN ISO 11612 A1 B1 C1 and 11611 class 1. The fiber chars rather than melts — no drips, which is the property safety managers actually read for.
Garment life is the pitch: 50+ industrial launderings with shrinkage held under 3 %, so the FR claim outlives the first quarter of wear.

Questions buyers ask about this fabric
The questions your merchandisers and QA lab send us — answered here, and answered live by the online assistant in the corner of this page.
- Arc rating available?
- ATPV values measured per IEC 61482-1-2 on request — box test Class 1 as standard. Certified lab report per lot.
- Does the FR wash out?
- No — protection is inherent to the fiber, not a finish. The 50-wash shrinkage data is the limiting factor on garment life, not the flame behavior.
- Can you match our incumbent’s shade?
- Yes for navy and hi-vis — the three stock shades cover most programs. Send a garment swatch and we match within grey-scale grade 4.
